In 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to announce their pregnancy with Archie on World Pregnancy Loss Day; October 15 is International Pregnancy And Infant Loss Remembrance Day every year around the world.

Then Meghan Markle wrote a passionate article about pregnancy loss for the New York Times in 2020 calling out the lack of understanding and care after her miscarriage.

They have never apologised for upsetting thousands around the world back in 2018 with their choice of date to mark the announcement.

But I found this whole series of events fascinating and a great example of of how and why society still haven’t figured out how to respectfully process and mark pregnancy loss.

Have a listen and would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
